There is a moment you will know if it has happened to you. When you put on a piece of clothing and something shifts. Not because it is the most expensive thing you own. Not because it is the most dramatic. But because it was made with attention. You can feel it in the way the fabric sits, in the weight of it, in the detail that nobody told you to look for but you found anyway.
Mita Jindal spent years inside India's apparel manufacturing industry. She saw how clothes get made at scale — the shortcuts, the substitutions, the decisions that happen when speed matters more than craft. She decided she did not want to make those decisions. So she started Haus of Handmade in 2021.
Every piece is produced in small batches in our Noida atelier. The sequins are sewn by hand. The embroidery is placed by artisans. The lace is cut and positioned individually. None of it goes through a machine because a machine is faster. It goes through a pair of hands because that is the only way to do it properly.
How HOH works
Small-batch production. Each design is made once. When it sells out, it is retired. No restocking. No overproduction.
Hand-applied detail work. Sequins, lace and embroidery applied by hand by artisans. Two pieces from the same design will have slight natural differences. That is what handcraft looks like.
Natural fabrics. Cotton, linen, crepe, modal, poplin — chosen for how they feel in India's climate.
