A co-ord set for office needs to do two things: look put-together without effort, and hold up through an eight-hour day. Not all co-ords do this. Wide-leg palazzo co-ords can look great but read as too casual in a formal office. Heavy embellishment on a shirt-and-trouser set can feel overdressed at 10am. The fabric matters too — something that wrinkles after two hours of sitting is not office-appropriate.

What makes an office co-ord work

Silhouette. Straight-leg trousers. Structured shirt or top. Clean neckline — collar, mandarin or V-neck. Not wide-leg, not cropped top.

Fabric. Cotton, denim, linen or crepe. All hold shape. All breathe in India's climate. Avoid georgette or chiffon co-ords for the office.

Colour. Monochrome or minimal print. The matching fabric does enough visual work. Loud prints in a co-ord can overwhelm in a professional context.
